Richard and Georgina started their business in 2004 sourcing, producing and selling top quality Irish Sport Horses. Since then many of the world’s best riders and owners have become regular clients. Cooley horses now appear in the top competition ranks globally.
Cooley Farm runs its business in Glenealy, producing select young jumpers and eventers. Richard attends all the major jumper shows, events and sales throughout Ireland identifying talented young horses and following the progress of proven campaigners.

Richard believes passionately that the most influential stage in a horse’s training is at the beginning where confidence and braveness are nurtured. Richard does a huge amount of cross country schooling on the lunge to ensure that every horse is confident and brave and assured of their job even before the rider becomes involved. Every horse leaves the Cooley Yard with this fundamental knowledge and training instilled in it. It’s because of this training programme that Richard stands by all of his horses.
